SUMMARY:Baldwinsville Parade of Lights 2023
DESCRIPTION:Saturday November 25 is the Baldwinsville Parade of Lights. This in my opinion is the best parade out there. Starts at 5:30 and there are so many vehicles all with different lights and decorations. \nWith this parade it is first come for where you line up\, so I am going to ask that all vehicles that are going to be in the parade meet at one central location near the start of the parade and then go in together. that way we are all in line together. \nThe Baldwinsville has hot food for everyone in the parade in the firehouse free of charge. Walkers and coolers can arrive any time and find us in the lot. I will make another announcement as it gets closer\, but for now please mark it both parades on your calendar. \nIf you are going to bring a vehicle\, be sure to have stuff to decorate it.

DESCRIPTION:Tigris is planning a Trunk or Treat on Halloween Evening in our parking lot.  this will be a great way to integrate a little more with the community. \nWe are looking for participants who would like to bring their vehicle\, maybe do a little decorating and pass out candy. the more vehicles we have\, the better this event will be for the children. \nAn event like this creates a safe haven for the kids\, and also helps the parents who are out with them. \nI would like to do this from 5-7\, and it will be set up as a drive-through event so no one has to get out. \nIf you would like to partake in a great activity like this\, please call or text me (Joel Scarson\, 315-708-7171) or the Shrine Office. \nThis event is open to any and all children so please pass it around to help get the word out. DESCRIPTION:The2023 NYS Fire Chiefs Expo is again being held at the Syracuse Oncenter this year and we are looking for volunteers to work the booth. This is another opporhlnity to show the public who we are andwhat Shriners does for “children in need”. Show dates and times are: Thursday Jun 15\, 12:00 noon to 4:00pm\, Friday Jun 16\, 9:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday Jun 17\, 9:00am to 1:00pm. Volunteers are needed on all days and times. \nWe will be handing out Shrine Hospital literature and talking to show participants about Shriners Children’s. We have permission to display our Fire Truck for the three day show along side other fire trucks outside and next to the Oncenter. Noble Lanny Schantz has volunteered to do this. The Tigris Clowns will be there “clowning around” and we will have Tigris Cooler Karts. Please wear a Shrine shirt and of course wear your FEZ.

We will have Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream\, along with all kinds of toppings at no charge! There will also be raffle baskets and a 50/50. \nAlong with the ice cream\, we are going to have a cornhole tournament! Teams of two will participate in a bracket style tournament against other teams. There is a $10 charge per team\, but\, the winning team not only gets trophies\, they will take home 50% of the money from the entry fees. Practice up your cornhole game and lets fill the Shrine Center and celebrate our 100.  If you would like to donate a gift basket\, please let us know. \nProceeds to benefit Tigris Shriners.
